When you'd like to MUTE the Microphone, most of our Bluetooth headsets have independent physical Mute buttons/switches on the Microphone. When using the physical button/switch, the mute status won’t be displayed on your computer.
When you use the physical Mute button/switch, you mute the microphone on the headset itself, not on your VoIP software. As a result, you won’t see yourself as “muted” on Skype, Zoom, Teams, etc., while your microphone is actually muted.
This is a general issue among Bluetooth headsets; our engineers are working hard to find a solution that can work around this issue.
Headsets that have the physical mute button/switch: Aria (AS90), Aria Pro (AS90P), Aria Podio (AS90T), Aria Me (AS90TA), Audition Mic (AS9M), DG59M, C519M, Alto Clair, Alto Solo, and more.
